Weekend done already! Worked side gigs roughly half of the last 72 hours so I’m fairly pooped - weekend went crazy fast <g>.. Multiple sims this week - the RV sits in the corner looking confused ;^). I miss it too!
Hope you have a great Monday and got to spend some time with your RV Saturday and/or Sunday!

RV-12 Garmin EGT and coolant temps.
…rcarsey
Here is a climb from 1000' to 9500' (with a level off at 7500' for a couple minutes). You can see the EGT increase when it went back into ECO mode. The coolant temperatures are only ever a problem while on the ground and idling for too long -- in which case, increasing your RPM to 3000 gives enough air movement to return the temps well into the green.

I got the smallest RAM mount with a 1" ball at each end. Attached one end to the panel, and (believe it or not) Velcro to the other end, and a couple strips of Velcro on the back of my 10" iPad. I've been in some pretty good turbulence and it's rock steady. The Velcro allows fine tuning placement

This is correct. My battery (EarthX) is on the firewall, I have an RV200 composite prop and the grove one piece gear. CG with me, wife, fuel and baggage will be right around 83”. Sorry all, I had a Homer Simpson moment (Doh!) :D Of course the CG will move rearward with fuel and people...

Today I had to say goodbye
Yesterday was a very difficult day. On August 23rd 2004, after 3 years and 4 months of construction, Miss Claire and I got airborne for the first time. Twenty years and one month later, hurricane Helene completely destroyed my beloved RV8. During those years she introduced me to many fine folks...

Should I replace this nutplate?
Hi - I feel silly asking this, but I'm curious about a couple things: a) How do you get into little spaces to set rivets? There must be a tool I don't have, because I did this nutpate twice and still it's really bad. b) Should I replace this nutplate (again)? I know that the rivets on...

The Genius of Design
I was sitting in front of SuzieQ’s port wing the other day having just completed my pitot/static check and was on my short shop stool just looking at this well-designed aircraft from a different perspective. I suddenly became aware of just how amazing the airfoil on this airplane is! Not only is...

ipad panel mount
Anybody aware of an Ipad flush panel mount like an Air Gizmo which also swings out at an angle so the pilot can view when the Ipad is on the copilot side? Big ask for the big vans universe! :)

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
