ipad panel mount

Anybody aware of an Ipad flush panel mount like an Air Gizmo which also swings out at an angle so the pilot can view when the Ipad is on the copilot side?
Big ask for the big vans universe!

I've looked far and wide and never seen such a thing. I've got a flush panel mount and there seems to be a divide: if you're not flush, you've got something like a ball mount that can pivot.

You need to add your cradle of choice but it sticks out about 1" from the panel total.

Not the best picture but you can see how close it sits. Just enough movement to pivot to see from both seats.

I use a RAM mount in the 6 and Kitfox. The flush options look nice but the refresh cycle of my panels is definitely longer than the iPads.

I was searching for the same thing. I ended up 3d printing that with generic ram arm. The recessed mounting ball and ipad balls are 3d printed out of aluminum. The square shape is for mounting to a Flyboys Pivot case

On the plus side, I've got a tip-up, and the mount for the latest iPad Pro 11" models is just a tad larger, so it should be possible to enlarge the hole in the panel, replace the flush mount, and be set for another 8 years. And after that.... well, I'll worry about that later.

The good news is that the new iPad pro 11 inch is much brighter than earlier versions and very readable in the cockpit, I have mine on a ram mount on the right side rail with the vent behind it but it can still overheat on a hot day.

I got the smallest RAM mount with a 1" ball at each end. Attached one end to the panel, and (believe it or not) Velcro to the other end, and a couple strips of Velcro on the back of my 10" iPad. I've been in some pretty good turbulence and it's rock steady. The Velcro allows fine tuning placement

Thanks Figs. I look forward to the improved speed, brightness and computing power. Do you have a ventilation fan behind yours? The panel mount I have now has one there and it seems to help. I've only seen it shutdown when in direct sun in Palm Springs in the summertime when it's like 118 degrees.

The nice thing about those bright new ones is you can turn down the brightness a bit and cut the heat output significantly. At least, that's been my experience with the ones I use outside the aircraft.

+1 for Pivot and cases...doesn't lock you into a particular iPad model or size. Pretty future proof as most airlines use pivot cases and mounts.

I have the mount in front of the right hand vent eyeball and I use a case that is completely removable to ensure the actual iPad back gets the airflow ESR Case. Also Foreflight automatically dims the display after a few minutes of non use but brightens up when you touch the screen. The overheating is when exposed to direct sunlight for a period of time, maybe not so bad if mounted in the panel.
