Garmin AXIS, Next Generation Integrated Flight Display

I have a question on GDU 80Px, from what I gather it has the same cutout and mounting holes as the GDU470.
Is the bezel overhang from the panel cutout the same as the GDU470

Just curious as I have cut my panel for a GDU470 but will now be fitting a GDU 80Px

Rob
Look at the introductory material when they announced this, but I believe it is the same height exactly top and bottom but an 8th inch wider on each side so a quarter inch wider in total

To add to that as I am in the same boat, I wonder if it will have the same bump on its right in the way the 11" display has.

Not sure how this will work in an RV-8. Need to get the tape measure out and see if I can fit it in with the required nav and com stuff.

At first glance I think it will. If the foot print is 11.6”.
I have the G3X, G5, Garmin audio panel, backup Garmin com (only) in my panel. It shoud fit easily.

Hey, Rob,

You will need exactly 1/8" more on both the left and right sides of the GDU 116. Too and bottom edges remain the same.

I had been told that the overall is 1/8" larger which makes it 1/16" on each side. Can you confirm it is is actually 1/8" on each side and a total of 1/4" overall side to side?

The Axis installation manual says, "the bezel of the GDU 116 is 1/8" larger than a GDU46X on each side."

In this post, G3Xpert says the bezel is .075" wider on each side.

Looking for a recommendation as how to best handle the below situation with a 'B' screen as a PFD which only has 3 HSDB inputs.
I know what the manual says, but there are a few different ways to handle this, will one work better than the other?
Assuming weather traffic are shared across displays via HSDB is the connection to the PFD using HSDB just for redundancy?
(My G3X already has the serial connection for W/T from the 45R)

Panel builder is recommending a HSDB from the GTX-45R to the GTN Xi and not to the GDU' since the GTN has 4 HSDB's. Hopefully g3xpert can confirm.
