Saturday was hot and humid with strong thunderstorms here, so I stayed home and caught up a little bit on paperwork. Sunday morning 0630 I got a text from job3’s boss’s boss asking if I could come in right now and do a double S15 (ice), and sorry for the short notice. I didn’t want to mow the wet yard anyway. ;^). Part time sim rat life…. Hope to fly the RV-6 for 30min sometime this coming week. Fingers XX.
Have a nice Monday!

If it was a Garmin GSA 28 servo, the G3X Installation Manual (rev. AW), pages 16-33, 34 show how to install the roll servo and the stop bracket properly - no trimming required.

RV-15 5/16 Update

dwollen89 RE F902 Bulkhead, F718 Upper Longeron, DWG 23 (RV-7)
I honestly think it could be a poorly bent bulkhead as the other side seems much more manageable. I had to order some other parts anyway, so I just ordered a new bulkhead to try. I spoke with support and they said it was fine to violate the edge distance. If the new one isn’t any better, my plan is to fudge the edge distance on the tab instead of the longeron.

Nylo-Seal Nylon Tubing bend radius
Question: For 44N 1/4” OD Nylo-Seal nylon tubing, what is the tightest bend radius it can accommodate without: A) pinching off the pitot/static pressure? 2) start to crack at the bend over time (heat, vibration, etc)?

Autopilot brackets
I did a pre buy a couple weeks ago on a 10 and found an issue that owners, especially buyers, should look for. I noticed the ailerons traveled substantially shorter in one direction vs the other. Yes, i know about the differential travel. When i was inspecting the bellcrank area, I observed...

Van's RV-15 Wing Build Progress (5/16/25)
You've heard the engineers talk about the RV-15's updated wing structure and control systems, seen the wing static tested, and now it's time to "build a pair" for further testing and that all-important flight over to AirVenture this summer. It's an all-hands project as the engineering build team...

Is there a rivet? The DWG calls out AN470AD4-6 but doesn't actually show the hole. Nothing I could find on DWG 24 either. No holes predrilled. Looks like there should be a rivet but edge distance is going to be close on the F902 flange. The substructure is riveted but still this spot is still...

G3X Trim Reverse switch trips circuit breaker
Hi All, I'm in the process of wiring my panel and all was going well until today. I had planned on having a trim reverse switch on my panel in case of trim runaway to bring the trim back in to a neutral position to ease stick forces. The idea is if the trim is running away, just reverse it...

Sump Casting Number / Part Number
