PaulvS Build Update 6A
I hope to never ever need to take the wings off again.😬.. it was a real "bear" to fit the centre splice plates and close tolerance bolts. There were no short cuts and the most essential tool was a hammer. The close tolerance bolts have been in the wing spars previously when I pinned the parts together for riveting a long time ago.

Tony_T RE Stab Install -12
I put together a stabilator service kart in anticipation of installing the several SB's on mine and another 12. My hangar buddies call it The Contraption". It has proven to be incredibly useful. Right now it is up at Paine Field where we took apart another 12 for painting. It will aid in getting the stab easily reinstalled. The lift table was flown up there in the baggage hold of my friends RV-10. This lift table is HF, but they all probably come from the same factory in China. Works great.

SOLVED: Need help adding B&C starter …PandaCub
After scratching our heads for awhile, my local A&P came up with a solution. As it so happens, AVStar makes a lever that offsets the mixture linkage such that it just clears the B&C starter housing. This, along with a little fiberglass work on the snorkel, seems to have done the trick. Many thanks to all involved in finally getting a reliable starter into this RV-8. Comments appreciated.

-4 Roll Trim PIREP …Scott Hertha
Personally, I like the manual system better. I had the same electric servo system you show on both of my RV8’s, but the manual system is so much easier, especially on an RV4. You don’t need to change it much or very often, and if you have an EFIS/autopilot controlled system, the manual won’t work for you, but as I said, lateral trim usually doesn’t require that much input. Below is pictured what I had on both of my RV4’s, and both RV6’s. They work very well and you know right where the trim setting is by looking/feeling the trim lever.

RE Firewall Layout …Carl roehlich
I mounted one battery (PC-625) in the forward baggage compartment well as you suggest. The second PC-625 is mounted in the normal aft location.
I only found one photo of the firewall taking during the firewall insulation process. On the bottom right of the firewall you can see the SS penetrator used for wire runs.

Approximately 4 hours ago I
Had a 0 PSI annunciation for fuel pressure about a minute after swapping tanks to my MoGas tank. Turned on boot pump and swapped to 100LL tank and landed with no issues. I landed, turned off the boost pump and engine pump held pressure fine on the taxi in. Flew .5 home no issues, I concluded maybe winterblend mogas wi the the warmer temps was my issue.

Another couple hours flying and it happened again, 100LL in both tanks. 20 minutes after takeoff I got the 0 PSI Fuel Pressure. Boost pump on and swapped tanks brought the PSI back to normal. After 5 minutes I turned the boost pump off and Fuel Pressure was back to 0 within a minute. Landed and turned the boost pump off, it held fuel pressure on the entire taxi in

Engine ran fine without a stumble, but it was only a couple seconds from 0PSI annunciation to the boost pump on.

I’m used to fuel pumps on cars failing and staying failed, anything else to look for besides the fuel pump?

Not funny, but super helpful with ear buds in a noisy restaurant when you're trying to read a book.
