Apologies for the late push. Part-time job ran late. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Parking Brake problem update
got to the airport to take a closer look at my parking brake problem. took several close looks but then i saw it. the bolts attaching the pb to the tunnel cover had not been tightened after the condition inspection. i did taxi the plane after the inspection and the problem did occur but at that point i dropped the ball and never caught the loose bolts then. something to be learned from this
RE My stall speed seems really high...
Echoing what others have said, check for static leaks. I assume it's not likely to be as bad as mine, but a disconnected hose somewhere would dramatically overstate your IAS/TAS.

RE: How to sand canopy edges
Like they said upside down in a cradle, I used an old blanket stapled to the cradle I made with old two by fours

RE: A productive day in the hangar
Checker tail day.. it took 3 hours to get the cnc'd mask on.
Cant even think of how big a pia this would have been doing it the old way.

RE: Painting under nuts on engine case
Thanks for everyone’s advice. I think it came out pretty good. I’ll do the rhs in a few days.

Looking for advice tips on mounting Garmin G5 in Backseat of an RV-8??
Has anyone mounted a G5 in the backseat of an RV-8?? If so, can you share pics, info on how you mounted it, how you wired it in, etc. I currently have a full Garmin panel up front.... G3X, G5 backup, Garmin radios, Audio panel, AP, etc. I'd like to add a G5 to the back to be able to give the...

brake problem
i have had a matco parking brake in the last 2 planes i built and never had a problem in 350 hrs. until now. of course this started right after the last condition inspection so that must mean something. twice after landing the parking brake was partially on and pulling the plane according to...

My stall speed seems really high...
Hello all- Just completed my third flight in a new-to-me (builder-buyer-me) F-1 Rocket. Early serial number, not an Evo wing. My power-off stall speed and slow flight speeds seem really off, and I'm looking for suggestions as to why. Up Front: I'm flying at a GW of 1,800 lb, and a CG of...

How to sand canopy edges
This may sound like a dumb question, but when you are trimming and smoothing the edges of the canopy, how do you position the canopy to get to the edges? I’ve read a lot about how important it is to not lift or move the canopy until you’ve smoothed the edges, but if you are trimming it on a...

A productive day in the hangar
Good day... managed to get brightener through epoxy primer. The fillet material around the canopy wasn't on properly prepared aluminum so I removed it prior to today's steps. All in all I'm stoked with the progress.

Painting under nuts on engine case
I have watched *all* of the engine overhaul videos I can find, and it seems that most people use little masking dots to mask off the areas on the case, and accessory case, where the hardware goes. Here is an example of the accessory case from one video: I am about to paint my engine and the...
