That could be a nice setup for wood working, but I can’t think of many scenarios so far where I would have really used it for the RV. I built two tables the same height. 99% of the time they are butted up against each other and never move. Once in a blue moon I’ll change the orientation to go from a wide, shorter table to a thinner, long combo, but it’s rare. I prefer the solid legs on the floor to help with all of the pounding that happens too. I have wheels on one end of each bench that are on hinged 2x4s and drop down and lock when the table is picked up.
If I had a huge shop, then I might feel different I suppose. I just don’t have space to be flipping huge tables around. With big heavy tables, I’ve never found a need to actually attach them together either. Nothing negative about the design. I just think the utility might not match the typical RV work.
