I would double the 24= 48. Plus travel time and expenses.I finished assembling my 7A after transport. Assuming every part and fastener is handy. I would guesstimate 16-24 man hours to assemble and connect all the controls and wiring.
That assumes you have all new bolts, washers, nuts. All controls were previously rigged corectly. Every cable was functioning. Probably incorrect estimate.
Probably right. 48 sounds closer. 24 will be spent digging through plans and parts.I would double the 24= 48. Plus travel time and expenses.
"Sand bagging"Probably right. 48 sounds closer. 24 will be spent digging through plans and parts.
Funny, I had a rep as a Manager. They always asked how I did it.
Secretly, I always doubled manpower and budget estimates. So I always came in under budget and early.
Guess I should have doubled that estimate too!
I was the king of sand bagging when I was on my tools. Now I can spot it instantly haha. E&I techs are the worst followed closely by rotating equipment millwrights."Sand bagging"![]()
To be fair, I saved them millions. When I took over, we still had all the old analog dial tone. 120 facilities so you can imagine how much that cost. Fax lines, alarms, elevators, etc. Even one $30/month phone line was a lot of money and some had 20 or more. I had a tech go out and pull one leg (Tip) off each circuit except for known critical infrastructure like alarms and elevators. If no one entered a work order, I issued a disconnect. If they asked, I had the circuit switched to internal system infrastructure. Saved a lot of money.I was the king of sand bagging when I was on my tools. Now I can spot it instantly haha.
