Nose Wheel Fairing Bracket - Socket Head Screw Length

The socket head screw, used to mount the wheel fairing bracket, protrudes significantly into the area of the tire.

Is this normal or did I mess something up again?



This protrusion is even with the locking and flat washer under the screw head.

I gently hit the ends on my scotchbrite wheel and took off enough threads so that only one thread was sticking out...

it's too long to grind down... Just go buy a shorter one.

I fabricated a spacer from some tubing and bought a longer screw so that it sticks out further to better engage with my tow bar. Be sure the put some loctite on the threads so you don’t lose the screw (I did).

A washer or 2 under the head worked for me.
