Lord Mount Replacement

What are the required steps, tools, and approximate time to replace the "Lord" isolators?
It appears we'll need some type of lift (chain hoist, engine picker)
disconnect the cables (throttle, mixture, carb heat)
disconnect governor cable?
baffles?

If we have the stuff & tools is this doable by two not fast guys in a day?

I have mounted two engines, but both times with 3 guys. And those were new installs so no baffles etc. in the way.

Either a chain hoist or engine hoist will work for supporting and lifting the engine. I changed my rubber mounts without removing anything from the engine. It took me a little over a day to do the change......single handed, going slow, being careful to not screw something up, lunch break, etc.

With the engine supported by the hoist, loosen but don't remove all 4 engine mount bolts. Next, remove the bottom 2 engine bolts. Lift the engine up enough to remove the old bottom rubber mount part between the engine mount and engine flanges. Replace them with the new mounts (between the engine and engine mount), then reinstall the remaining mount parts and bolt. Spin the nuts on a few threads (not all the way), but don't tighten the bottom bolts yet.

Remove the top 2 engine mount bolts. Lower the engine enough to remove the old top rubber mount part between the engine mount and the engine flange. Replace them with the new mounts (between the engine and engine mount), then reinstall the remaining mount parts and bolt.

Level the engine as best you can (by eye). Progressively snug and torque all 4 engine bolts. Done!

As with the original engine install, there will be a bit of pushing the engine in various directions to reinstall the engine mount bolts through the rubber mount and the engine bolt holes. Also, remember the top and bottom mounts are installed different (one is reversed compared to the other, also one has an additional washer)....I think I checked the Van's engine mount drawing about 20 times, just to make sure I had it right.

Good luck.

It's easily doable by two just don't rush. As Steve pointed out the level is the key. I managed to swap the engine/mounts by myself but it took three days.
