I still don't understand why labeling basic color coded controls is required. Makes about as much sense as having the control sticks, or yoke, labeled as to what they do and which direction to move them. Maybe something that is required just because it's always been required? And if it is so important, why doesn't Spruce or other suppliers offer these controls already marked, or labels for them? Is this a rule that is overlooked by some inspectors and enforced by others? The Cozy MKIV we built did not have them marked for inspection and passed, as did my RV-10. I guess I need to put them on the RV-9A prior to inspection.
