Empennage lower side skins fitment

I'm on page 10-14 and have the side skins cleco'd on. I used a roller tool several steps back and did a slight break on the edge of the skins before I dimpled them. Now that it's together the edge of the skin doesn't sit flush with the bottom skin. It's much more than a simple break would need to be.

Im guessing I need to take the skin off and roll the edge more, but how would you roll such a large piece? Or am I missing something altogether with this?

I flipped it up onto its side, wondering if the flex of it laying on the fuselage was making it bow out

As I recall, mine looked similar when it was only clecoed together, but once riveted it closed the gap pretty well. Make sure you've broken the edge with one of these: https://cleavelandtool.com/products...MNz20anoPSkjCNaEUWhn6d9X7I8G8-mAwBuVvf33VaSV- And use firm pressure with the rivet gun to push the skins tightly together before pulling the trigger.

As I recall, mine looked similar when it was only clecoed together, but once riveted it closed the gap pretty well. Using a wide flush rivet set with just a little bit of english (angle) toward the inside did the trick for me.
But use used an old school edge forming tool (not Cleaveland) and turned out fine.

Thanks for the replies. I initially did an edge break even before dimpling, and I've spent some time reforming the edge just a bit. Now when it's cleco'd together the gap is much less significant. I also received a response from Vans stating the gap should close well once riveted. So I'll see how this goes soon.
