Backordered parts

A box with four beautiful black unobtainum flap tracks and outboard aileron bearings arrived unannounced yesterday. Build on!

Last Friday I received another box and now have everything that was backordered except my wingtips and landing light lens.
I have #23.
 
#27 and still waiting for those wingtips addressed above. More importantly though, no mid flap tracks. I here others receiving all of their parts with later kit numbers than mine. I would like to understand the processes at Vans that sends parts to later kits while leaving the earlier kit builders waiting in the dark.

Don’t worry. You’re not alone.
I picked up my kit on 12/31.
I made the mistake of getting slow build fuel tanks. If I wasn’t priming all of my parts, I wouldn’t have anything to do.
I haven’t been able to build anything.

I’m missing rib parts for both tanks plus the rear spars for both tanks.
Still missing a counter balance tube for one of the ailerons plus a couple parts for the flaps.

Rounds and rounds of phone calls and emails only gets me the occasional useful parts but not the parts I need to move forward.

I can start on section 22 but then I’ll have a flimsy 10’ section of wing laying around waiting for a fuel tank that can’t be built….

Did you ever get your fuel tank ribs and spars?

Awesome. Good luck with the build. You are a patient person. I would have been (and am) pretty miffed.
