Im looking to purchase some of the above silicone hose for my Sam James Ram air connection to carb and from the ram air to the cowl. Anyone have any recommendations for (more) flexible hose. There are 100s of options online. First hand experience and possibly a brand would be great.

Thanks

It’s a short distance… need a flexible Hump Hose .
I made my own with some carbon / Kevlar & silicone … been in service for 11 plus years . IMG_0591.jpegIMG_0590.jpegIMG_0590.jpeg

I made the short neoprene cuff as SJ recommends for this, is there some reason you think it won't work? I have been using that part for over 300 hrs and it never came off or got tangled in the gap. That part of the engine does not move fore/aft much so the gap is small, the neoprene form was smaller than the glass and ring diameters so it is stretched a little.

Its the silicone that attaches this to the Sam James carb inlet piece and to the Sam James cowling lower inlet.

Ive already installed the neoprene for the cowl rings..

I get so many compliments on your plenum Bill. Thanks again.
