Is the get together still on for the 2nd? Planning on at least 3 rv's coming to visit.
 
Runway christening

They'll at least be 3 planes from the pride coming tomarrow, maybe 4. A pitts from deck an my freshly painted F1. Looking forward to it.

Jim thanks for the invite and let the guys know the food was outstanding. Runway is much improved and good to see planes in and out of there again.

David thanks for the report. Where did you go to eat? Jim knows some cool place with hot waitresses. Do you still have MY mirror in your plane? :)

Yes your mirror is hostage till we see you. I could mail it but more fun to hold it for ransom :D

Vlad and Jim thanks for holding out on the hot waitresses. Food was good, but just a bunch of airport bums! But still fun:)

Nice runway Jim BUT.... wrong numbers either on concrete or in FAA database. Second; get those monster geese out of there. :D

New runway....new numbers! FAA hasn't caught up yet. Why didn't you call if you we're in town?

I was on a mission today and initially didn't plan Bloomsburg. Then it just happened... a Touch and Go... I hate geese :D
BTW you still have the Orange Girl?
 
What a sweet new runway Jim. I did a touch and go and a full stop. They even built in an auto greasing system, it's much better then auto land. The weather was VFR and it simulated conditions exactly what I saw on Dutch Harbor webcam today. :)





Beat my own record by four knots. :D



 
Fat and lazy Bloomsburg geese. Can you train them Jim to stay on one side of the runway? :D

Interesting story about geese. A lake right next to the Cameron Park Airport (O61) had a terrible geese problem. They were everywhere and making a mess costing lots of money to clean up and to treat the water in the swimming area. Then the geese started disappearing slowly until the numbers were low enough the water was clean, the trails were clean and everyone was happy.

One day one of the residents noticed a guy taking a dead goose into his condo. Questions were asked and it was discovered that it was a Hmong family from Cambodia. They had no idea it was not proper to just grab the geese that were messing up their yard. This was a case where a problem was solved with everyone winning until people found out. They were told they couldn't eat the geese so the population started to increase and the lake water became dirty and the trails covered in goose **** again.

Many times things work themselves out until we get in the way! I need to ask Mike S if they still have the geese problem. The lake is in his backyard!
