Vertical Power Install Issues?

Anyone trying to get the VPX box to accept the downloads from the on line planner tool? When I attempt to download my online configuration file, the VPX log shows a long list of error messages regarding an inability to find various files and directories. I have followed the install notes to the letter, with no luck. At this point, the box is useless to me, without some sort of meaningful communication from Astronics regarding this. I've noticed that there seems to be little, or no effort to keep up with the Windows updates, as one is continually warned that installing the software represents a security threat to your computer. Running Windows 10, stated as supported by Vertical Power / Astronics. Spent 6+hours on what should have been a 2 minute effort given the cost of the product. Hopefully, I'll get a meaningful response from the company, otherwise, at this point, if one is expecting to save time and money with this solution, you're better off with fuses and switches. Can't help but notice that there seems to be no meaningful software update since 2013. In this business, that's an eternity.

Help!

I just adjusted mine, did it right from the laptop, didn’t use any pre done files, so I guess I’m saying I did it manually, and it went quick.

Besides the WiFi issue which is well known the only other issue I have had is the Ethernet to USB converter. Had to use one made by TP-Link and not the Amazon brand Ethernet adapter. Installed or help install 4 VPX Pro systems to date, all worked well.

I bought a new Windows laptop specifically to use for configuring my VPX-Pro. Turned off wifi and connected the ethernet cable. Went into the VPX software, made some changes, saved them. Worked fine - and I even used the Amazon Basics USB-C to Ethernet adapter :-)

Same scenario for me - Windows laptop wired directly to the VPX via ethernet and running the VPX software to configure. Worked fine.

Thanks All! I will keep trying! Interestingly, pulled out an old Windows 7 computer and got the error messages in the log file regarding missing files / directories to go away.

At least I can communicate with the VPX box..

Got the box to accept the configuration upload. I was misled by the error messages in the log file. The configuration file was uploaded with the "Update Configuration" menu. All seems well now. Thanks for all the comments!

Do you have access to a Gen-X'er or Millennial? If not your own family, you may find one in a local coffee shop behind the counter, pulling espresso shots.

;)
Hilarious! And I used to think I was pretty good with computers, back in the DOS and Win 3.0 days..

FYI if you are using a Garmin G3X, be sure to update it's software, as the newest version has some specific vertical power integration built in.

Well, things have worked out OK until today when I received an "Access Forbidden Message" on just about any computer I could get my hands on while trying to use the online configurator tool.. One showed a "permanently closed" message.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Thanks!
