Hi Steve,Just to be clear on the situation. Fred has a new 760. The traffic is portraying correctly on it. He cannot get his Serious XM working on it. He had a subscription on his older unit but cannot get the Serious XM functioning on the new 760.
Hello Steve,Hi Steve,
He will need either a GDL 51/51R (SXM Weather and Music) or a GDL 52/52R (ADS-B traffic/weather and SXM Weather/Music) to display SXM Weather on his Aera 760.

Hi Steve,Hello Steve,
He is using a Garmin 330ES transponder to send traffic.
THANK YOU! This is the best explanation! Well written and so easy to understand. KUDOS!Hi Steve,
The GTX 330ES does not provide ADS-B traffic, only TIS-A traffic which only works around a few larger airports and you quickly lose that service as you fly away from those airports. Many of us remember the world before ADS-B when we used to hear the "traffic not available" aural annunciation as we flew outside of the limited TIS-A service area.
We were glad to have TIS-A when that is all that was available, but TIS-A is slowly being phased out in favor of ADS-B which is vastly superior and works air-to-air to see both 1090ES targets and 978 UAT targets everywhere without ground station assistance. It also provides ground station uplink of TIS-B targets which are non-ADS-B equipped aircraft using Mode C transponders which are in radar contact.
To take full advantage of ADS-B target trend traffic (both air-to-air and TIS-B), receiving on both 1090/978 Mhz with his Aera 760, Fred would need to source traffic from one of the following devices:
GDL 39/39R: ADS-B traffic and weather
GDL 50/50R: ADS-B traffic and weather
GDL 52/52R: ADS-B traffic and weather plus SXM weather and radio
GNX 375: ADS-B traffic and weather
GTX 345: ADS-B traffic and weather
GTX 45R: ADS-B traffic and weather

This was covered pretty well in 2020 when the Aera 760 was introduced. The use of the phrase "supports SiriusXM radio and weather" can be misinterpreted.

I have been using Garmin portables for over 30 yrs since I bought my first one at Oshkosh 1993. In my opinion, the Aera 760 is WAY better than any of its predecessors and well worth the investment.

Hi Fred,It looks like I need to go back to a 696. The 760 doesn’t support Sirius weather, or the auto pilot, or the ADSB.

Nothing is ever quite as easy as seems. It looks like I need to go back to a 696. The 760 doesn’t support Sirius weather, or the auto pilot, or the ADSB.
My 760 is getting ADSB in and out from My Garmin transponder. I need Sirius XM in for weather.
