Question: For 44N 1/4” OD Nylo-Seal nylon tubing, what is the tightest bend radius it can accommodate without:
A) pinching off the pitot/static pressure?
2) start to crack at the bend over time (heat, vibration, etc)?IMG_1579.jpeg

Searching the internet, I found: 0.565 inch on this website. Also found this instruction sheet.

I can remember heating mine several decades ago to get it to take a SET with the desired bend. I ruined a few pieces before I got it right.

Be careful if using push fit connectors, they will leak if the pipe is bent too much. Use the 90deg fittings to avoid sharp bends.

Yep, I've done this too with satisfactory results. Had to do to insure there was not sideways pressure on my push-in fittings. I heated with a hot air gun and used the typical small tube hand benders to keep the bends in the proper orientation with respect to other bends. (There will be some spring back.) Do some practice runs...You will quickly learn how much heat is too much and adjust accordingly.

Scroll,

FWIW, we have to do this frequently with all of the test rigs, and I just use boiling water, which is hot enough to do the trick and pilot proof.

Cheers,
