SL-00085 Flap Actuator Upgrade

Got an automated Email from Van's saying a new service letter had been released that provides a means and instructions for upgrading to the newer RV-14 style flap actuator. But, I cannot seem to find the "kit" it refers to for purchase in their store.

Has anyone heard anything about when this flap actuator and install kit will be available for RV-8/8A builders?

Don’t see it either
 
The SL says refer to "revised" drawings. I looked at the drawings available within my account on the Vans website, They are dated 2006. Where are the revised drawings?
 
My guess is they will ship with the kit. They should be available somewhere else on the website as well but I don't know where. Sounds like a question for Vans.

I looked up the kit in the eStore, no reference to documents in the kit that I saw

$537 for the Van's kit, and $225 for the PH Aviation...

I bought it (ES-FA-PA-270-12-5) from Vans pre BK for $250. I guess the markup is the post BK charity fund.

The flap retro fit kit had two parts that I could not ID

Not sure what they are or if needed. The Tool-00111 (template), I’m interested in so I don’t have to guess and hog out the armrest. That tool also repositions the existing upper bracket (which is also an aileron hinge) utilizing the existing pre punch holes as reference.

I splurged for this kit and just received it yesterday. No documents included. The store still has the old version of DWG 33. E-mail to support pending...

PH has both actuators, with and without the position sensing. In fact, I believe PH was first to market with the new style actuator then mysteriously Van's started offering the same one :unsure:

I called build support Tuesday, they agreed there are no docs and no revision of drawings have been made available. Said they would up level it to engineering to get the ball rolling

I received the revised drawing from support this morning.

Where the Flap Motor attaches to the bulkhead is with part of an aileron hinge. A-406-1.
