wrong brake disc?

Lan Vinh Do

Well Known Member
I ordered a disc brake for my rv-10 from vans.
when i tried to put it, the hole for the bolt are too small.
I wonder if it's the good part.
I bought the plane in 2010.
in the document, i have a wheel assembly 40-59a.
the bolt are AN5.
the part i received is a cleveland parker 164-04000.
I sent a message to vans and they said it was ok.
when i mesure the hole from the disc, it's for a AN4.

is it wrong part in a good box? or it's a part for a rv-7 ( i really order it for a rv-10)

The on-line Cleveland catalog shows the correct disk for Cleveland wheel 40-59A as 164-07500.

I'd call Vans again.

disc brake

I will call again.

this is what i sent

''Hi i ordered a disc brake for a rv-10 in march.
I was about to install it yesterday. The hole are too small for the bolt. Is it possible that i received a disc for a rv-7?
This is a copy of my order.
The part that i received is a cleveland part 164-04000.
Thank You

Dear Lan Vinh,

Part Number: WHL 6.00 DISC
Quantity: 1
Unit Price: 150.00 ''

THIS IS THE ANSWER THAT I HAD
Lan,

''This sounds correct. It might be that you have Grove Brakes and the new part is a Cleveland?

Best Regards,''
