I just wanted to put a plug in for Winter Altimters.
I have had a great saga with my 4 FGH 40 57mm Altimeter.
I purchased it from Noelle at Williams Soaring Center. And due to a mix up, revceived a Inches HG, not Millibars version of the Altimeter. After some emails, and a partial reimbursement of postage charges from Williams Soaring Center, Achim Winter was able to have me send the unit to him for exchange.
Long story short, there was a further problem with the unit that I received.
Achim, like any of the true professionals in the aircraft community, has ensured that I pay no postage costs to have the unit exchanged.
This is the sort of service that people remember and should be shouted from the rooftops.
Yes, I have had problems, and yes it has been a delay, however, having the problem acknowledged and corrected quickly is invaluable.
Please if every you receive good service make sure you let others know. It helps everyone.
