Wing wiring question

daveyator

Well Known Member
I'm just about ready to start installing the left wing skins, and not sure which way to go with running the wires. Anybody know what the new system calls for?
I'm fitting the light kit, and have heard conflicting reports about how many wires to run. Is a second wire for synch part of the setup, and can anyone tell me if a shielded wire is necessary?Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Dave,
The current plans call for three 18GA wires from the root to the tip in the left wing and right wing. (Nav, Strobe, Sync) The left wing has an additional wire for the stall warning switch, and the right wing has two additional 18GA wires for the landing light (Steady, Pulse) that run from the root connector to the most outboard rib.
Aeroleds recommends a three circuit shielded wire in their install instructions, but there is no provision for shielded wire in the current vans instructions.
