Where is my fuel pump???

I own a 2013 RV-12 which I did not build. I want to replace the auxiliary fuel pump. My A&P mechanic who is not familiar with this make and model said he believes we have to remove the wing to access the fuel pump. I believe he is incorrect. I believe the fuel pump can be accessed by removing the rear bulkhead. Can anyone provide me first hand knowledge on the best way to access and replace the pump. Thank you.

You have two fuel pumps, the electric and the mechanical. The mechanical is on the side of the gearbox. The electric is underneath the baggage compartment floor in the center. If you have the split baggage floor update, then this is easy peasy to access. If not, you have to remove the fuel tank. The wings do not have to come off. There is a service update that replaces it with a slightly stronger fuel pump.

This is correct ^^^^, but all of the information you are needing is in the RV-12ULS maintenance manual. If you don’t have the copy that was originally supplied with the kit, you can download a digital copy from the Vans Aircraft website.
