Is there a recommended time in service for ignition wires (automotive in my case) or are they replaced on condition only? I'm coming up on 1000 tach hours and thought that might be a good time to replace them (2 sets per recommended TBO)?
If not, other than checking for mechanical damage, is a DC resistance check sufficient (180 ohms per foot)?
For you high timers, how many trouble-free hours have you got on your automotive ignition wires?
