When should I register my Garmin G3X package for an RV-12iS?

I received the Garmin G3X avionics package for my RV-12iS way before my powerplant kit is scheduled to arrive. I'm sure it will be many months before my project is completed. What is the latest date Garmin will allow us to register a G3X package for warranty coverage?

• When all the components have been received?
• When the builder is finished installing them?
• When they are powered up for the first time?
• When the first flight occurs?

Good question as I will be in same situation soon. From flygarmin.com I found this as an answer :

• 2 years or 800 flight hours from the date of purchase for G3X units, including non-TSO remote-mount or non-TSO panel-mount.
