Hi all,
My 6A, finished in 2002, has ~2400 hours on the airframe. From what I can tell from the well documented logbooks, the isolators have never been changed.
Six months ago I noticed that the clearance between the back of the spinner and the cowling has changed and is no longer consistent with the gap smaller on the right side than the left.
My cowling has piano hinges on the sides and they are tight - no play. The only thing we've come up with and agreeing with those more knowledgeable than me is that the isolators have worn. I'm up for CI in February and we'll do the replacement then.
My engine is a Lycoming O-360-a4b1n. What isolators should I order?
The attached pictures should provide any needed info.
Thanks,
Dave
