… getting it started
On Saturday evening EAA Chapter 113 held our annual Awards Banquet, where I received a Completion Award plaque for my RV-8. Normally I wouldn't share that as newsworthy, but I laughed hard when I flipped the plaque horizontally and examined the back. Just what I need... another project! Geez it's always something with that airplane mutter mutter mutter...
(If you look closely, I'd already laid out nail holes for the fix before I took the photos. Anything to avoid working on the wheel fairings.)
Flew back from a wonderful week in the Bahamas. I flew from Michigan to Governor's Harbor, Eleuthera where we rented a house on the beach last weekend. My wife and I had a great vacation, saw a SpaceX launch from the air near Cape Canaveral, and visited friends in Greenville, SC on the way home. Another great experience due to a decision years ago to build an RV.
