Vlad was here
Flew from Northern California to Iowa City. Along the way, had to check out Flaming Gorge marina for future stop-over.


And, decided to overnight in the classic old West town of Saratoga, Wyoming (KSAA). According to the the FBO, there’s a “Vlad sighting” once-a-month. Before leaving in the morning, I soaked in the FREE hot springs, which are absolutely superb. Thanks Vlad for your posts, which are great for places to visit. Gonna have to try some of those ice landings in a couple months.

Me and the spousal unit flew from our home on the OR coast to Sunriver, then drove to Crater Lake for some hiking and an overnight at the lodge. This photo was on the return trip, looking north up the Spine of the Cascades. Mt. Washington is in the foreground, then Three Fingered Jack, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Hood.

Man, this nice weather in Texas is killing me! Haven’t flown my RV since early August… a combination of too hot/no time. Well it’s cooled down a bit, but now my ship is down for a leaky carb! I pulled it and sent to D&G for overhaul, still waiting to hear back from them.

And, while this weather is lovely, we sure could use some rain…

Columbus Day trip since ‘postal’ wife had the day off. We made a 200 mile run to Natchez, Ms for…. Tamales of course! A bit of flea market shopping to make her happy then back to TXK. What a great Time Machine the RV9a is!
