100 hour/Annual time.
The good news - the oil filter was clean (and so it should be!).
The bad news - the Air Filter plate was cracked. TSN:213.7 hours. Damn.
Other bad news - the Alternate Air cable had broken. The inner cable had broken at or around the point it passes through the firewall.
After reading of others woes with similar cracking on the original AFP-supplied part, I manufactured a replacement plate from 0.063" 6061 and have made up a cork gasket to install between the plate and the inner collar. Fingers crossed this prevents a similar occurrence in future. I'm skeptical.
As for the cable, this must be related to the vibration which caused the air filter plate to crack and when I install the new one I'll have to consider how I can mitigate this problem. McFarlane were great - they were responsive and managed to get the part ready to ship almost instantly however we had a bit of a hiccup with the freight when I was not happy to pay the US$505.30 quoted shipping price. We managed to find a more palatiable US$75 solution. Yeah. Still $130 Pacific Pesoes, but better than the cost to fly over and pick it up myself I guess. Freight costs are killing us at present, yet you can buy an $8 part on TEMU and get free shipping from China. Weird.
After missing out on a few stunning winter days I'm looking forward to getting this thing back in the air again.
