Looks like it takes nice video but it looks like a plane on a stick being held in front of a video. It was pretty windy and gusty, but I finally got my Insta360 camera mounted on the left wing and took it up for a test flight. No parts were shed, so I consider it a success. As for my editing skillz.... well, they appear to be nonexistent.

Yes, there's a way to turn off the auto horizon feature, but I haven't gotten through all the features quite yet. There are a surprising number of them.Looks like it takes nice video but it looks like a plane on a stick being held in front of a video.
Thanks. There's a way to remove the distortion -- a button that does just that. But sometimes it's not available in the Studio editing software, and I'm not sure why. They offer a number of different ways to edit, including on a smartphone or even on the camera itself, which is nice. There's even an AI option to allow the software to pick and edit the best shots. I'll have to see what works best for me. The raw video is nearly an hour long, but I figured watching the plane fly around for that long would be awfully tedious.Interesting results.
Compared to the GoPro MAX I'm using it seems the footage is clearer, however there's more distortion on the fringes of the screen. I'd be very interested to see the results if you zoom in a little bit. Certainly the GoPro MAX loses quality quite quickly when you zoom in.
Your mount is flexing quite a bit but the image stabilisation seems to work well. Either that or your camera is rock steady and your wing is flexing heaps.
Good effort. I look forward to seeing some more footage from around your region.
Thank you for the video! I am working on my tailwheel endorsement and have been trying to explain the whole rudder thing to my non-pilot friends. The film of the rudder during landing does it perfectly!!!!It was pretty windy and gusty, but I finally got my Insta360 camera mounted on the left wing and took it up for a test flight.
