Sedona, Arizona
Stopped off in Sedona, on my way back from Denver, to do some mountain biking. Fortunately, I have the “extended baggage” option* built in my RV7a, so a large full suspension bike can fit with only the wheels removed. Got some good shredding in, plus the flying to and from Sedona was absolutely gorgeous.
*yup, just remove the passenger seat.🤭

My Big Agnes tent arrived.
My Brompton arrived.
Did 1.7 hr flight today with someone that might go to Airventure with me. I've only watched about 1/2 the arrival videos...

It was a short flight (at RV speeds) to the Estrella warbird / car museum at the Paso Robles, CA airport (KPRB). We were able to taxi to the museum and park right next to some impressive aircraft. We enjoyed the museum visit and the flights there and back!

Tuesday was my weekend, sorta. I worked a side hustle all day Fri/Sat and Sun....Monday was recovery. Tue was RV-6 time!

Lots of folks had the same idea Tuesday a.m.

A spin around Denton airspace just looking at the ground. Had been 24 days since my last RV flight (ugh). Felt great.

Takeoff and landing. Mostly smooth. Following that flight director after T/O (12.5*).

Highlight of the morning was a school field trip visiting 52F. Got this from a few hundred feet away. Maybe the spark showed up in one or two. Hope so!

I flew to Chino to kill some time before meeting my wife's cousin, who recently bought an RV9A, at French Valley for lunch. Then hopped over to Oceanside to refuel and check out the skydiving operation there. Then it was up the coast to SNA to bother the controllers with some pattern work amid the 737s and 757s before returning to Corona. A beautiful day of flying in some ideal weather.
