Getting this weekend’s what did you do with your RV this weekend thread started. Drove out to 52F and took the RV-6 over to KXBP for fuel Saturday morning. Hazy and a little bumpy below 2,500, with a couple of GPS to HDG and back to GPS moments to avoid traffic (can see ‘um in the ground track) ;^).
Got back home by 1045 with the mental gyros re-aligned.

Potty/avgas break at KXBP. Hundreds of FBOs have the exact same vibe. Good stuff.


In cruise back to 52F. Typical hazy morning. First fold of the Koger shade folded down because I’m staring at the sun.


Couple changes to HDG mode with a right offset for traffic avoidance. Busy day for flying. Heavily travelled corridor between Aero Valley and Bridgeport. A lot of people get fuel in Bridgeport (like myself). Lovin' my Sentry.


All ready for the next flight <g>.

Over one hour north from my base there is Shoshoni, a little town in the heart of Wyoming on Wind River. Its airport (49U) has two decent maintained dirt strips and that's where I went today.





Hiked to town it's about a mile to the Main Street. There is a sidewalk as you get out of airport area passed the school. Good cafe at the gas station.

We’ve been having a lot of winter still around our place. But last week we got some temps in the 50’s. I was able to plow enough snow out of the way and the sun did the rest. Did a loop down Flathead lake, nice squeaker landing at Polson 8S1 and then battled the afternoon bumps coming back. Still a great day to get out. Oh then it started snowing Sunday
