Got a quick RV flight on Sunday before the cold, cold Wx returns. First RV flight since Jan 25th (ugh).

Cali to Colorado
850nm commuter trip. Nothing like a a nice tailwind to get an 213 KT ground speed. And, the turbulence & ice semi-behaved.

Flew a whopping 15 miles to the Buckeye Air Fair to watch other airplanes fly crazy closed patterns.

It is howling at my airport bench all week. Managed to find a slice of relatively smooth air between 8200' and 9500'. With partially taped cooling air intakes CHT stayed at 375. OAT -15C. It took almost an hour to bring oil temperature to 180F.
