I sure could have used Lil Dude when I installed my new AFS 6600 a few months ago! I'll have to get my grandson trained up in a year or two. I just took him for his second flight over Thanksgiving.

Finally made it to CGS [College Park, MD] after going thru the process to obtain an FRZ authorization 8 years ago (for a planned trip that was scuttled due to weather). We tied down, met the airport dog (and Lee the manager, whose retirement is at the end of the month), caught the Metro downtown and spent the holidays doing vacation things.
The trip back on Saturday involved an IFR departure in some light rain, 2hrs IMC on the way to our fuel stop, and finally an ILS to near minimums back home. A great trip to cap off a year that has seen several major trips & flying milestones.
