No flying for me but got my condition inspection wrapped up. Had a gigantic sigh of relief this afternoon when my compression came up to 77/80 after honing the valve guide and lapping the valve in situ! I'm now in a much better mood than last weekend when #2 showed 45 cold then only 62 hot. Other than a few choice words trying to fish the valve back out the guide, everything went very smoothly thanks to alot of good tutorials from this website and some youtube videos.
 
Flew to Harris ranch today on my way back to the bay area from socal. Horrendous 30-40kt headwinds and also moderate turbulence below 5000. Winds were spicy and a bonanza in the pattern before me did not make it in and departed the area but it was doable for the -6. The ribeye is worth the stop, much better than the typical $100 hamburger and helped me forget about the 115 ground speed on my way back.
