My First Cross Country Flight of 2025 in the RV10 (N16YS). Went from 30 degrees to 70 degrees in a little over 4 hours. I had to outrun a Warm Front quickly moving from Southwest to Northeast with a big rolling edge solid cloud cover at 3000 ft spread as far as the eye could see from the hangar door. Spooky looking but soon to be in the rearview mirror. Pulled the "Snowbird" out at 11 AM Friday from Maryland's Eastern Shore W29 then departed to the Southeast and only 4 & half hours later NONSTOP landed in Daytona Beach, Florida at 7FL6. With the exception of the first 15 minutes of flight it was Bright & Sunny & Smooth the whole trip. Average speed 163KTS TAS & GS! Burning 13.5 GPH for a total of 62.6 Gals. Landed with 21Gal fuel remaining. I have pictures to post but failing at getting them from my phone to this forum. Check out the trip on: Flight Aware or Flightradar24 under a search for N16YS. It was a THRILL. Just LOVE this NEW ALL Garmin panel with twin G3X It is truly a joy to fly! Thanks to VIC and ANDREW at BASE LEG AVIATION.
 
Carl, on your recommendation, I've been to Westport twice, once for pizza, and walked into town once for burgers and fish sandos that turned out to be HUGE!! Who needs burgers THAT big??

Also went to the golf course at CLS once. Haven't made it to Forks yet, but I will.

I also noticed one of your 'snowy mountain' pics on our local news a day or two ago. I think they were talking about all the volcanos in Washington State. I saw 'Carl N.' in the corner of the pic. I knew it had to be yours.

Itbis great to see another Rv doing things it was meant to do congrats. You are free to move about the country.
 
It was called Bennett's Fish Shack. There was also a BBQ place a block or so closer to the airport, according to Google, it looks like it was probably Aloha Alabama BBQ. It looked interesting. We'll probably try that next time we're there, or Blackbeard's Brewing. If you walk into town (maybe a bit over a mile north, easy walk), there are quite a number of places to eat.

When we were last there (and visited Bennett's) it was a really nice, sunny day, but windy on the ground (below about 2,000'). Above that, on that day, it smoothed right out, all the way home. It was a really nice day to be out and about exploring with a great airplane. Thanks, Van!.
