Wake Turbulence Alert: ForeFlight (seen today)

Returning from a weekend side job today I got a wake turbulence alert in ForeFlight on my phone - got a screen grab. It’s the red and light green line - red is the greater danger. We were in a King Air 350 being radar vectored behind a 737 for runway 13L into Dallas Love field (KDAL). The 737 was 700’ below us.



Never seen that alert before, so after we landed and I got home I looked it up on YT. Found a FF video:

And yes, we did hit the wake turbulence, but we were aware (brought it to the CA’s attention).

Wow! I’ll have to start watching for that, flying under DFW arrivals always makes me a little nervous.

Is it a default setting or something that needs to be turned on?

I recall someones flying app having wake turbulence warnings, the guy that has the simulator company.
