Anyone also had a slightly bend in the rear spar assembly after riveting the vs1008 plate and 1014 angles in? Mine got a slight bend over the lenth inward although I did straighten the backing plate and angles...

Make sure that you are not overdriving the rivets. Seems like people think that "more is better" when driving rivets, which is definitely not the case. I will ALWAYS remember helping a friend build one of the original RV-6s. When he was done riveting the rudder post and doublets together, he ended up with something that looked like a pretzel twist. Needless to say, a quick order to vans for new parts was placed...
