VS-1211 VS/Rudder hinges

Since I've read about the VS/Rudder hinges having close tolerances for the bearing I'm guessing there is no primering here? I'm just planning on taking the edges off of VS-1211 but not much else to these pieces.

Am I missing something?

I primed mine and had no problems. Just don't overdo it.

I didn't prime anything, but I live in Arizona and keep the plane hangared.
