Vans has updated their lead times web page

A few days ago the Vans lead times web page went blank. I figured they were probably updating it and today they did. They are now reporting lead times in weeks rather than months. I only track lead times for the RV-14 and they haven't really changed. I'm wondering if reporting lead times in weeks rather than months has anything to do with their new ERP system.

I was ready to order my -14 tail kit last week when the lead times disappeared. That made me nervous lol. Iirc it was 2 months before. I went ahead and placed my order yesterday, so we'll see how accurate it is.

I’m sure they are seeing decreased demand due to covid going away, finally shipping stock parts and kits, and reduced consumer trust with the bankruptcy.

Wasn't the lead time for Quicklbuild wing and fuselage 2 years? I was pretty sure I was going to just do slow build but a one year wait seems much more reasonable.

Sorry, I was only tracking the slow build kits. I should have mentioned that. I think you're right though.

Interesting that QB really hasn't moved on their site over time, but I'm surprised they have even moved it slightly, real life examples show much longer. I'm still waiting on my QB wings order from Feb '22, signed again in Jan '24, showing March 2025, but I can't get any details as it's moved out multiple times since the reinstatement of the tracker website.

I still don't undrestand why they would bother with offering QB kits... plenty of folks out there that would build them for that price and it would be just 1 more thing they could optimize out of their business

Agree, but they wouldn't let me switch to SB, so must be important to them still.

This is the problem. Once you commit to QB they are completely inflexible about switching to SB even though they have plenty of demand for the QB, judging by the wait times. Apparently they do make plenty of money on the QB, probably more than on the SB.
