Vans built rudder pedal wrong?

I finally got my rudder pedal parts today, only to be very confused about why they didn't look like the prints. Looks to me like the brackets for the rudder cables are welded to the inside pedals, not the outside? Can anyone confirm what I'm seeing?

So you were actually sent the wrong part? I'll have to check mine now. They were backordered, and when they finally came I didn't look beyond the fact they looked like rudder pedals.

They must have made a change in the design for the 14 as well.
Mine had tabs on both sides.
