Value of a 9A with low time engine and full Garmin panel?

What does this group think a well built 2019 RV9A is worth? 160hp IO 320 (yes IO) with high compression cylinders 300 hrs SMOH with good oil analysis reports and no corrosion, IFR with G3X touch, 650nx, G5, GFC500 auto pilot, Garmin blue tooth audio panel, leather seats, KATO three blade prop, tip up, not a great paint job but not horrible. I’m thinking somewhere between $150,000 and $175,000. No significant issues, no engine corrosion, flown regularly.

Sounds pretty close. Mine is a 2018 with higher-time O-320 150hp, IFR with slightly less fancy glass panel and basic paint job. It's insured at $100k.

Been watching prices for a few years on the various models since I have been switching back and forth on 8 & 9's. Personally, if it has mediocre paint, I think you might be on the high side as a decent paint job will run $20K these days. $100-150K seems to me what most are selling for with the highly option one's bringing more. Exceptionally painted ones upwards of $200K. I have seen outrageously priced ones, and also seem those priced low. Market seems to have stabilized a bit. There is always what appears to be a peak in sales around Oshkosh time though. JM2C.

I think $130 to $150 it’s well priced. You have a great panel but no CS prop and nice paint. That’s my 2cents from what I see around

I've been tracking the prices of RVs for the past couple of years, as a potential buyer and data nerd. I have a spread sheet with every RV posted in several publications in that time, along with pictures, descriptions, etc., all downloaded automatically. $175k would put you in the top 5% of prices in that time, competing with some very nice airplanes with perfect paint, constant speed props, and dual G3Xs or similar. IMO and without seeing the plane, $150k will probably get people to take you seriously and at least give you a phone call, much more and you'll just get passed up for the next one. There's actually quite a few RVs for sale right now, at least compared to last year, it's almost double. People have a bit more choice now. Keep in mind that l'm only seeing list prices, not actual sale prices.

What’s your opinion on RV10s? Let’s say with a low time engine and nice panel and 7/10 paint?

$150K sounds about right. The fact that it’s low time but regularly flown will be a huge green flag for savvy buyers (you usually see one but not the other 🤣). What does it weigh empty?

10s (and 14s) are a little tougher just because there's so few of them, and the prices vary by a lot. Paint and interior look to be a big factor. Some of the higher end ones, $400k+ look like they have paint jobs that could have paid for a nice RV-6, and interiors that could have been designed by Porsche. Personally, I would say $300k is a good base price, then you add/subtract from there. Dual EFIS with the most modern stuff would add some, interior quality, paint, etc.

You seem to be spot on. I found one. 600 hours on the airframe, dual G3X panel with a 650, good paint and interior and 40hr SMOH last year on a carbureted 235hp O 540. $315,000. I’m happy with that. I think it’s worth more than 315. I wish it was fuel injected but the performance seems to be almost exactly what Vans’ spec sheet says it should be.

Yea, I'd say you got a good deal with that. Glad to see they still exist.
