Well, I've had the first kit (00012) for about a month now and I'm very pleased with the progress so far. I had to step away for a few weeks to pick up the G3 kit in Florida, but I've recently returned to working on the RV-15. A lot of time has gone into preparing my work area and figuring out the best practices and tools to build these kits more efficiently. I still have three more wings to complete before the end of March, when I hope the next kits will start shipping. I've also been sourcing components for a 360 engine and am well on my way to accumulating the crank, case, and other parts needed to build the engine for the first kit. I'm planning to go with an EFII 360 at 9.5:1 compression. Hoping to finish the flaps and ailerons this week! I've owned many RVs over the years, but these are the first kits I've built from the very beginning. I couldn't be happier with the plans, inventory, and support from Van's.
