Trio & Trutrak ( Xcruze 100)

Python

Hi, I’m looking at either a Xcruze or Trio Autopilot (round hole) for a RV 6 tipper. My problem seems to be that both are about 6” long and that doesn’t leave enough clearance between the back of the Autopilot & the firewall when installed in the panel.Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions ? 🐍

It won't interfere with the firewall, it'll interfere with the subpanel.

The usual solution is to create an appropriately sized hole in the subpanel.

I don't think I've ever seen an RV-6 with an intact subpanel.

Python - the newer EAB version (it's a shorter version) of the Trio Propilot will easily fit between instrument panel & sub panel.

Hi, I can’t find a “ EAB” version on their website ? Where would find some information on it ?

It’s the Experimental one on their website :)
I have sent you a PM.
