There is a write up in the FWF build section. Basically you have to mark a reference line from the firewall line on your fuselage. Fit the cowl as best you can. Then use the reference line to trace the lines on the cowl for cutting. Here is a picture after the cut. The reference line is the forward edge of the tape line on the fuselage. The aft edge of the tape is left on the upper cowl.
Thanks for the reply. I‘ve done 2 previous installs so I know how. what I don’t know is how much will be trimmed off.
Reason for asking is the pink cowl has a ridge several inches forward of the aft edge and since I’m using Skybolts, I’m wondering if the Skybolt flange will need trimming and/or the ridge.

Perfect picture. Thanks. Since I have not hung my engine yet, I was trying to get an idea if the ridge on the underside of the pink Pepto-Bismol cowl might interfere with the Skybolt mounting flange. After trimming the cowl (A), I wanted to get an idea of how much cowl would be left between the aft edge and the ridge (B). It looks like there will be plenty of distance (B - D = C) between the flange and the ridge.
At least I don’t hate doing fiberglass anymore. I just tolerate it now.
