Are there alternative products to Pro-seal when holding down the trailing edge of the rudder prior to riveting? I waited a little too long to order the stuff and there are no suppliers in Tulsa
I did not proseal (or otherwise seal) my rudder. The march of progress at the Alexander Technical Center did not allow the time for drying, so they routinely skipped it with the advice that one could apply it later if desired. I never did.
Not sure how many builders just skip it, but I see planes done both ways.
I learned what not to do, when building my practice kit at least....it looks a bit like a banana. Going for the big angle iron on the real thing, much like you did.
