Torque and lead weights

Section 09-21, installation of the lead counterweights to the elevator.

The lead is quite soft, even temp installation left small indentations from the washers. In terms of final torque on the bolts, will this lead to lessening of the torque over time?

Anything to do differently here, or is this a “build on” situation?

I haven't torqued mine yet, but it is certainly typical that the contact areas on lead parts have been less than needed for full torque. I have these on my CI inspection (-7) list and checked them many times before paint. While the added area of the strip along with the nut plates should have enough area, i will do the same for the 15.

i don't think any traditional adhesive will stick to lead. encapsulation is a possibility though

Doesn't stick well, but it can't hurt.
