My original Aero Classics got about 400 landings before they were worn out. Switched to Air Hawks that have about 450 landings and will be flipped around at the next CI
I wouldn't spend extra on tires - the Aero Classics are just fine - especially for the 12. I just put new ones on after 6 years and at least 400 landings. Tubes are more critical. I do spend extra there to get the Michelin Airstop tubes.
I had considered tires other than Aero Classics before deciding to stick with what works well already. The Aero Classics will wear on one edge then just swap the tires onto the opposing wheel doubling the useful life of the tire. If you're looking to "upgrade" then opt for top of the line inner tubes!
