Tie Down Eyebolts

Pages 10-03 and 13-02 call out a 3/8-16 UNC thread tap to receive tie down eyebolts in the wing spars and the tail skid. I've done a little searching and cannot find an aircraft grade eye bolt with this coarse thread.

Did you guys use an Ace Hardware grade eyebolt? Is there such a thing as an aircraft grade tie down eyebolt?

I don't know if the RV-12 is the same as the other RVs, but Cleaveland sells both the eye bolt and a pre-threaded extruded piece of aluminum ready to rivet. (http://www.cleavelandtoolstore.com/products.asp?dept=111)

Tractor Supply Company sells a forged eye bolt with the correct thread and is good for 5000#.

Thanks Bob. Just to add our tie down bolts do have that standard 3/8"-16 thread. You do want to make sure that you get 'forged' bolts in order to get the required strength.
