Throttle and mixture fire wall locations

Any recommendations on the 4 firewall pass through location for these 2 cables, using a O360 lycoming carbarated with out constant speed gov.

On my -4 and Rocket they all pass through on the left side of the firewall in a vertical row:

Mine exit just starboard of center and just above the crossbar of the engine mount. I wanted a straight shot at the terminal mounting hardware for the mixture and throttle fittings. This seemed to be the best place. Your engine and carburetor should maybe be in place to approximate where you want them to come out. OR just measure starboard of center somewhere. Make sure you miss the crossbar.... If you can estimate where the mounting hardware is going to be, you might be able to just have the engine mount on without the engine. I can't remember exactly how I lined mine up. It might be in the plans... The space from the firewall to the mounting hardware, as you can see, is quite short in a -4. This is for an O-320 but is probably similar.....

I think the Rocket engine mount might be a little larger than the -4 allowing more room to curve the cables around as seen in Post #2. Not sure how to get them lined up from the port cheek faring......

I built my 4 with an O320, but yours should be the same. I ran both mine through the center of the tunnel and straight behind the carb to the bracket. My cables make a large radius curve up and over to the throttle quadrant.
